Course Overview

Until recently window and door installation required the use of multiple component products from multiple manufacturers. There was no guarantee that the selected components would be compatible or that they would perform as a system.

That problem has been solved.

A complete, tested, warranted window installation system will guarantee performance, quality and compatibility of all product components and is available from a single manufacturer. You'll learn why a single system should be used in your next project.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify at least three risks associated with improper window installation or poor window-wall interface seals.
  2. Compare the risks associated with using multiple components from multiple manufacturers (MCMM) to the benefits of using a complete compatible installation system.
  3. Describe industry standard requirements for a window installation.
  4. Identify at least three features of a window installation system contributes to green building practices.
  5. Describe window installation processes and safety measures.
