OSI® HM-270 Construction Silicone Sealant OSI® HM-270 Construction Silicone Sealant is a high modulus, 100% RTV silicone designed for glazing and sealing. It cures at room temperature upon exposure to moisture in the air providing good tensile strength and excellent adhesion, usually wihtout a primer, to most non-porous building materials. Withstands temperatures -60°F to 400°F and has movement capability of +/- 25%. It is highly resistant to UV light and is virtually unaffected by other harsh environmental elements. Offering superior elasticity and long-life reliability, it forms a watertight and weatherproof bond to materials like glass, ceramics, aluminum, primed steel and some plastics.

OSI® HM-270 Construction Silicone Sealant is for structural or conventional type glazing and curtain wall sealing involving, glass, plastic or metal. Ideal for sealing skylights, solar panels, ventilators, heating/AC units, and other glass, plastic or metal assemblies.
Not Recommended for
- Applications requiring painting (Paint will not adhere to silicone)
- Sealing green or vulcanized rubber
- Joints subject to continuous water immersion (i.e. swimming pools, boats, etc)
- Use with concrete, marble, oily woods, limestone, brick, lead surfaces and vinyl
- Horizontal joints or traffic bearing joints where abrasion resistance is required (i.e. walkways, driveways, runways, etc)
- Applications in totally confined or air-free spaces
