OSI® SBR-100 Window & Siding Caulk OSI® SBR-100 Window & Siding Caulk is a one component, medium grade, solvent release caulking compound. Formulated for year round use, SBR-100 will extrude consistently and easily from 0°F to 100°F. This unique rubber based product air cures to form a tough elastomeric seal that maintains its bond under most weather conditions. It was developed primarily for the aluminum siding industry to eliminate the problems of extrusion, cut-off, stringing and dirt collection commonly found in oil-based and butyl caulking compounds. SBR-100 requires virtually no tooling when applied as directed.

OSI® SBR-100 Window & Siding Caulk is ideal for use in all "low rise" residential construction including remodeling and remedial work where aestetic appearance is desired and minimal joint movement is expected. The product primarily is used for caulking around windows, doors and siding to keep out unwanted air infiltration and weather while maintaining the energy efficieny of the home. SBR-100 can also be used in areas where the need for a general purpose caulk may arise, such as repairing leaky downspouts and gutters.
Not Recommended for
- Use on log homes
- Use on redwood, cedar and PVC (vinyls)
- Use as a traffic bearing sealant
- Continuous water immersion
- Bonding, polystyrene foams and polypropylene or polyethylene plastics
- Sealing around bath tub or shower enclosures
- Applications as an expansion joint control sealant
- Exterior use on "high rise" construction or commercial buildings exceeding 3 stories in height
- Use inside occupied structures
- Joints deeper than 3/8" (9.5 mm) without the use of backing material
- Areas where exposure to food may occur (i.e. food storage units)
